The times are changing and it’s not just in the office, the idea of what a meeting space should be has now exceeded whatever expectations we had in the past. In fact, here is how hotels are re-thinking the meeting space, beyond the ballroom.
ROOFTOP
Rooftops have been a popular spot for restaurants and bars but the latest trend is converting those spaces into special events for work. A rooftop or outdoor patio can be completely transformed to enhance any outdoor event. Some even have multi-purpose rooms that include large drop screens and full sound systems for media presentations.
POOL AREAS
Ready to bring your bathing suit and flip flops to your next meeting? If the idea seems too good to be true, it’s not! Today, several hotel chains outfit their cabanas with audio-visual equipment. Take for example the Viceroy hotel in Santa Monica, California, AV Planners installed flat panel displays and audio systems in their cabanas, and more than just a playback set-up, BYOD or for those who prefer to bring their own device solutions were installed.
