When iRobot, the leading global consumer robot, and advanced technology company planned their move to their new Southern California headquarter office to Pasadena, both function and aesthetics were high on the list. They contacted AV Planners to help them with their California move.


AV Planners worked with iRobot’s facilities and IT managers to integrate the AV systems within the standards of iRobots strict security needs. The end result? A state-of-the-art, stylish, and highly-functional space!

The Solution:

A custom acoustic sound treatment was designed for this open office space to allow for a fully functional huddle space that’s also easy to set up for outside participants.

 Executive Conference Room

Designed for high-level internal and client meetings, this sleek space includes a 90” Samsung LCD display and a wireless video gateway for up to 32 users. The system was designed with all the bells and whistles to impress an executive without the need for a tech expert to get the system up and running (no matter how many sources you may need for the presentation).

 Interview Room

the Human Resources space was  designed with confidentiality in mind with Cambridge sound masking to keep conversations within the room, to a secure system using Dual Samsung 70” LCD display for video interviews, Polycom Group 500 series with a robust Crestron Touch Screen.

 Community Boardroom

A highly utilized boardroom, designed for large groups with sensitive information being shared onsite and remotely with the Polycom Group 500 video conferencing system. . Cambridge sound masking was also installed for privacy. Multiple Samsung 70” LCD Displays were installed with wireless presentation and sharing that automatically connect when you bring your own device.

 War Room

With offices across the country, an in-house collaboration space for reviewing critical information is a must-have. Using a dual 70″ Samsung high-definition flat screen and Vaddio PTZ camera in conjunction with a Zoom video conferencing solution which allows for a robust soft codec solution for internal meetings.

 Huddle Rooms

For quick impromptu meetings the Polycom  Group 500 Series Video Conferencing System was strategically placed among the open office space.Each huddle room had to be simple to use with a variety of users from both local and other offices.

 Phone Booths

Phone booths are back! Because we can’t always find some privacy to make quick calls, privacy is necessary for open office spaces. With the use of  Crestron Mercury for soft codec video conferencing, this system allows for stepping inside instead of outside for a call.
